Everyone who was ever a fan and customer of Tamela Stevens, she will be back in town. Tam worked all over the place: Hi-Life, Jake's Dilemma, MacAleer's... until she split town. She moved to the Caribbean, St. Martin, and was consulting on a new bar/restaurant there. She is now opening a French cafe on the Dutch side of the island in October!

Tam is back in New York chilling out, and will be down at Arlene Grocery on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 7 pm. Her friend's band 4:20 (I don't know what it means, maybe it's Dutch) is playing there, the guys in the band are all from St. Martin. This is a great place to see a live music show -- and catch up with such a terrific NYC bartender. She was here for 12 years, lets say hello to her.

ROARING TWENTIES PARTY
I'm telling you to go get dressed up like a 1920s gangster or flapper and go to the Prohibition Party at Flute tomorrow night (Friday), 205 W. 54th (Bet. Broadway and Seventh Ave) at 7 pm. The occasion is the Dorothy Parker Society party. We went last year and it was a looooong of cocktailing and good times. For the 411, go here!

I don't normally pick up the National Enquirer, but about 20 million others do. So its cool to see some friendly faces there. As the story goes, 4 bartenders from Coyote Ugly got invited to a party at the Playboy offices on Fifth Avenue last month. Rubbing shoulders with the celebs were Maria, Sara, Char and Vina -- in matching red CU tops. Here's the proof below, what's next? The US Open parties with Donald Trump?

Congratulations to Coyote Ugly! The bar is opening another franchise, this time in Atlanta. Since those poor souls only have the Braves and Ted Turner to amuse them, the arrival of this bit of civilization is woefully needed. For a city that still hasn't recovered from the Civil War, the new bar will surely help deliver some cheer into their lives.

Word is that Lil had Jacqui, Maria and Cyndi parachute in for the opening tomorrow night, to whip those girls into shape. Hope we can get a report soon on how the newest CU outpost measures up!

One of the things that's great about New York (you can tell people about this) is how cool everyone is to you. Like this nycbp.com regular named Bill, he sent in the news this week that the new bartender at Jimmy's Corner is Pauli here, a rookie from Poland.

This is always going to be one of our favorite joints. Jimmy and his wife, Swanee, always hire girls from Eastern Europe. Bill says she's working on Tuesdays, but we're not sure when to stop by and meet Pauli.

Go there and be a good tipper. Because you're a cool New Yorker...
