How many ways do I love Bellevue Bar? Let me count the ways...
1. Jimmy Duff, one of the greatest bar owners on this island...
2. Tall Tony, bartender supreme....
3. Laurieanne, bar belle like no other and war-yell not to forget...
4. Best jukebox anywhere....

And now, for the MTV Masses that have been fed a steady dose of Ozzy's household and Real World shitheads, the rest of the country can find out about Bellevue! Last month they shot "Extreme Rock" with Rob Zombie at the bar. MTV filmed a second installment of "Extreme Rock" May 20 @ Bellevue w/ Wayne Static from Static X hosting (the white guy that looks like Buckwheat on crack).

Check your listings! Better yet, go to the bar on Friday night and see Tony and Laurie!!

What could be a better time than watching the Tyson-Lewis fight than in a packed bar? You know Tyson is going to go insane on June 8!

I just found a great place to watch the fight on the Upper West Side. The Dead Poet, the only Irish bar I really go to anymore around here, has the fight on at 9 pm. It's pay-per-view, so its $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Your first drink is free, and there's $2.50 beer specials during the fight. (Uh, this fight could be over in 30 seconds if Lewis has his nose bitten off. Hope you can drink fast!)

The Dead Poet is at 450 Amsterdam Avenue between 81st and 82nd streets.

Who knew that Stuff --- one of the must successful new guy's magazines --- is using nycbp.com to locate girls for their readers? Read on...

Of the 8 Stuff photo profiles they've done for "Bar Shots", half of the women have been from nycbp.com. Even the current one, Tangee, is a familiar face from when she worked at Bourbon Street a couple years ago (that page is now history). Take a look here and you'll see faces that are going to be very familiar to you: Chaundra, Liani and Jenn. What do they all have in common? The Village Idiot, Theme Night, and nycbp.com.

Thanks, Stuff! Now give us some credit and a link next time!!!

Just found out about something else for Saturday night. Downtown Bar is hosting bands from alt.coffee (that wacky java cafe next door to Doc Holliday's) and The Library. Doors open at 8 and bands start at 9. Performing are Roger Human Being, Drew's Band and the debut of Up On Blocks. For more info, ask Nick at The Library. I don't know if there's a cover charge.

The "bar tour" of the Upper East Side yesterday was a drunken mess. I only made it to 2 of the 10 bars. Go figure, but we just couldn't leave Who's.

You can try it again on Saturday, May 18, in the East Village. They say its to benefit The American Cancer Society. $10 admission includes $3 pints of Heineken & Amstel and other specials from 3-10 p.m. at these participating bars: Doc Holliday's, 11th Street Bar, J.P. Warde's, The Library, Mona's, Musical Box, Nice Guy Eddie's and Route 85A.

It has a World Cup theme (the soccer madness begins at the end of the month), and each bar is going to be a different country. (I know The Library is Scotland due to Nick, Eddie's is Mexico because they have great margarita's and Doc's will be Ireland for some strange reason). All bar crawlers get a passport for the day.

On Saturday you can register at either Doc's or Eddie's at 3 p.m. or do it online at Murphguide.com.

Should be a fun day at some awesome bars...
