The Foolproof Bachelor Party

By Kevin

1. Be realistic about how many people to invite. Get the list from the bachelor in advance of who he wants to invite.

2. Don't let anyone who is related to the bride attend. You may also want to skip over guys who are married to bridesmaids in the wedding party.

3. It is the best man's duty to pull off the bachelor party, if he can't do it; it's his responsibility to find the right guy from the wedding party to do it.

4. Don't tell any of the details to the bride or her friends in advance, especially where it's taking place and what time. Brides have been known to try and crash bachelor parties.

5. Avoid going to strip joints, they will rip you off. If they see 15 or more guys come in at once, you'll get taken to the cleaners. It's better to hire private party performers and pick a private room to have it in.

6. If you decide to have the bachelor party at a hotel, make sure everyone knows the room number in advance. You don't want any of the bachelor party guests or strippers loitering for any length of time in the lobby - it draws attention from hotel security.

7. Figure out the cost in advance, and plan accordingly. Break it down for bar, food, strippers, transportation and tips.

8. The worst bachelor parties are the all-day field trips. Don't go to Yankee Stadium all day, then a big dinner, then lots of drinks, and then cap it with the bachelor party. You will be falling asleep by 8 p.m.

9. If you see some dude with a camera, take it from him. There should be no photographic evidence.

10. Afterwards at the wedding, don't be an idiot and talk about the party in front of the bride or bridesmaids.
